AutoRussia 2009 Summer, St Petersburg – will explore the latest developments and the effect of global economic downturn on the automotive industry in Russia. Despite the difficulties in the automotive industry globally,most OEM projects are continuing to build and grow their production in Russia. GM, Suzuki, Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Ford as well as hundreds of T1 and T2 suppliers are moving to the city to set up production facilities and supply this growing market.
Twice a year AutoRussia attracts well over 400 participants, senior executives responsible for their businesses’ success in Russia. These are top level T1 and T2 manufacturing, sales and production professionals who are working on growing their business with OEMs based in Russia. | AutoRomania continues to be the premier automotive event in Romania, bringing together in 2008 over 250 senior automotive executives who gathered to shape the future of the country’s automotive sector. The 4th annual AutoRomania conference was opened by Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu followed by keynote sessions with senior figures from the country’s two OEMs including Francois Fourmont, COO, Renault/Dacia and Paco Taroncher, STA Manager, FORD Romania. AutoCEE 2008 brought together over 200 top automotive executives from across the region to meet, network and benchmark. Delegates benefited from insight from top OEMs such as VW, KIA, HYUNDAI, FORD, DAIMLER, FIAT, SKODA, TPCA, PSA and EUROCAR. They also had the opportunity to network with their peers and share information on overcoming the current economic crisis.
The agenda brought together top-level experts to address some of the key issues affecting the automotive industry in CEE today, including Purchasing, Supply Chain, HR Management and Quality. They were also given a chance to discuss these topics in more depth at brand new Champagne Roundtable Discussions.
